Since becoming a mother, one of my biggest challenges is figuring out how to accept that I don’t have this figured out. There is no way to be a master at parenting and despite my best efforts, a lot of the time I just suck at mamahood.
What’s more is that just when I think I’ve figured it out, my kid throws a curveball my way as if to say “whoa, slow your roll there, I’m in control not you MA.”
I’ve tried writing “mom hack” blogs which have been epic failures because there is no freaking hack to “momming.” There might be things that help on a Wednesday but not a Thursday-let’s be honest, we never know what those tiny humans have in store for us.
So, allow me to turn to the Boy Scout motto “always be prepared,” and say screw it.
While I don’t have many, if any, answers for you, I can bring a dose of comic relief to what is often an insanely stressful job. I can show you that you’re not alone and that we are all in this together.
Take a deep breathe and have faith that it will all be just fine. Take it one day at a time and most importantly love those tiny humans like crazy. Oh, and of course check out my blog;-) Cheers!
